Guide

Supplier sample questions before a bulk order.

A sample is not just something to approve. It is evidence for better supplier questions.

Short answer

Before a bulk order, ask what is final, what is temporary, what can change, what affects price, and what will be different in mass production. Use sample photos and visible notes to make each question specific.

Questions to ask

  • Is the material, color, finish, size, and packaging final?
  • Which visible issues can be corrected before production?
  • Will bulk goods use the same components, mold, label, and packaging?
  • What are MOQ, lead time, sample cost, tooling cost, and revision cost?
  • What inspection standard or acceptance criteria should be used later?

Use sample records

Generic supplier questions get generic answers. A sample ID, photo, label view, package note, or visible issue lets you ask about one exact item instead of arguing about vague quality.
